    Description

    This is a vintage mid 20th century decorative wall panel that was made in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico by Polish artist Michael Anthony Zarebski. He developed a signature look and medium: a green stone ‘mosaic’ of crushed malachite and stones in shades of green mixed with resin from which he molded his artworks. Most of his works were based on ancient Mayan, pre-Colombian
    art.
    This piece is a personal fave of Zarebski’s I’ve seen. This one is a wall hanging piece on a think slab of wood. It’s based on a large stone stela, pre-Columbian Maya city, Xukpi (5th-9th century AD), now known
    by its modern name
    Copán in western Honduras. Facing forward, the figure depicts a Maya deity decorated with so so many visual embellishments, its fists clenched upon its chest. It’s heaaaavy at 9+ lbs.
    This one still has its original sticker on the back.
    Dimensions: height 21“ x width 5.75“ x depth just over 2.5“ off the wall.
    Condition: Excellent, used, vintage condition. Usual wear and light scuffs and scrapes for an item likely 60+ years old. No notable losses, chips or issues.

    I find interesting, because I can’t keep it all, heh.
    Usually that’s ceramics, art, barware, and other collectibles. Check my other auctions.
    Shipping: Anytime the eBay shipping calculator ends up charging an overage (not very often) I will refund the overage back to you. For “Reasonable Shipping” cost, I never ‘make money’ on shipping = the rates are the actual carrier rates. I always compare dimensional size/weight, and flat-rate, and regional boxes to get you the best ship price!
    I’m happy to ‘group’ items for a bundle buy, just message me and tell what things you’re looking at. I always combine shipments if possible to get you the best rate (keep in mind, when it’s practical - things like a poster & ceramic vase aren’t gonna work together
    😊
    )
    Cheers, thanks for looking.
