    Description

'The violins of the Raramuri (Tarahumara) are found only in the Copper Cañyon area of Chihuahua (Creel, Basaseachi, Guachochi, and Barrancas del Cobre) and come in a variety of different sizes and shapes: elongated, square, circular, wide, rounded, small, medium and some are very large. Many are beautifully decorated with paint and animal heads. They are made mostly from ash, fir, pine and cypress'.
The hand-made Tarahumara violin I have for sale was made by Ignacio Rivas Gonzales who lives with his family (in a cave) in the Diversidaro area of the Copper Cañyon. He makes only a few violins per year and his violins are very collectible.
It comes with a bow...notice the animal head on the violin....
    It has no strings
