You are bidding on a barely used SunSpotter Solar telescope. It functions perfectly and is 'like new' physical condition. The paper booklet has an imperfection on the cover page (which you can see in the photos), but other than this the SunSpotter is in excellent condition. This unit projects an image of the sun on a white piece of paper. The projected image is about 3.5" in diameter. You can usually see sunspots as black dots on the projected image of the sun. Because you are not looking at the sun directly, it is very safe to use. This is frequently used in science classes because it gives an excellent image of the sun that multiple students can look at all at the same time. Obviously, if you have an eclipse coming up, it is amazing to be able to see the sun being obscured by the moon.
